Information Technology Services (ITS) provides critical operational services for the Santa Barbara County Education Office (SBCEO), 20 school districts and two community colleges, including a customized financial accounting and payroll/retirement system. A team of in-house software programmers maintains and enhances this system according to districts’ priorities and state requirements. Our systems are designed for high reliability, complemented by hotline support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and a Disaster Recovery-Business Continuity Plan that is updated and tested annually.

For SBCEO departments, ITS provides Local Area Network (LAN) and workstation support services. LAN services include connectivity to the SBCEO secure internal private network, managed antivirus protection, file storage and file sharing, and workstation backup services. In addition, we provide a public network for use by workshop participants and other guests at our facilities, and wireless connectivity for both our public and private networks.
For SBCEO departments, ITS also provides listservs upon request as well as workstation support services at an hourly rate. Workstation support includes technical assistance with recommending, purchasing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
